“A six percent increase in odd-year votes gave Manhattan three new commissioners. Third-place candidate, Aaron Estabrook, says, “I am a public servant and I will work for the people,” in regards to the failed tax increase proposal. This tax would have largely gone into the Wildcat Creek levee, forcing Manhattan’s government to look internally for funding.
