The Riley County Health Department announced the ninth positive case of COVID-19 in Riley County Friday.

RCHD said one case is currently being treated at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. There are currently 13 pending tests, 28 people being monitored and 75 negative tests in the county so far. The most recent positive cases are all travel-related.

“As the number of positive cases in Riley County continues to rise, we need everyone to stay vigilant to help stop the spread of this virus in our community,” local health officer Julie Gibbs said in the press release. “Your actions directly impact others. Stay home, stay safe, and save lives.”
