Hale Library is on its road to recovery after smoke and water damage from a fire kept it closed for several months. We asked, you answered. Here are some of your favorite memories from our beloved Hale.

The Great Hall

This was just before my first experience with a Harry Potter event at K-State. I assisted The Burrow (at that time, KSU chapter of The Harry Potter Alliance) with decorating the Great Room,” Cherra Acosta said. “I met some wonderful people through our shared love of HP and KSU.”

Study memories

My friend and I once were studying alone in the Great Room and had been there for a few hours. We decided we needed to take a little a break by dancing on the table tops,” Jeana Lawrence said. “It only lasted a few minutes to let off some steam and we hopped down and got back to studying. Not five minutes later a tour group came through. It’s still one my memorable memories in that building.”

Cora Farley wrote, “Patrick Hodson and I spent the entire night at Hale researching and writing a 14 page paper together.”

Finals week fun

Hallie Kristalyn said, “Finals week was always so FUN.”

Hale holds a special place in our hearts. Students and alumni alike can’t wait for its reopening!
