TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on May 22

The Riley County Health Department reported its first new positive case of COVID-19 in a week, bringing the local total to 61. Additionally, 54 of those who previously tested positive are considered to be recovered.

The newest positive case is presenting in a 63-year-old male. How he contracted the virus is uncertain as “disease investigation is ongoing,” a press release said.

Riley County has documented one COVID-19 related death.

At this time, there have been 871 negative tests administered in the county and 102 tests are pending. Currently, three people are being monitored for possible exposure.
