TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on July 8


The Riley County Health Department reported eight new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday and eight more on Wednesday, bringing the local case total to 325.

Additionally, 181 of those who previously tested positive are considered to be recovered. There are 141 active cases in the county.

Riley County has documented three COVID-19-related deaths. The two most recent deaths were both associated with an outbreak at an extended care facility in Leonardville.

There is one resident hospitalized with COVID-19, and they are on a ventilator. There is one person hospitalized with symptoms similar to COVID-19, but they are not a known positive.

At this time, there have been 3,125 negative tests administered in the county and 232 tests are pending.
