Students returned to Kansas State’s campus for the beginning of the fall semester while wearing masks and social distancing. The university implemented many precautions to protect students including setting up hand sanitizer stations and providing Every Wildcat a Wellcat kits.
K-State offers online, in-person and hybrid classes to accommodate diminished classroom capacities. Each classroom is given a “COVID capacity” which accounts for people maintaining a six-foot distance.
Manhattan’s campus has 660 classrooms across 60 buildings and a majority of those have proper ventilation for holding classes. Updates are being done to rooms not up to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers standard 62.1.
