TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on Aug. 19


The Riley County Health Department reported 32 new case of COVID-19 since Monday, bringing the local total to 532.

On Tuesday, the health department reported that the Phi Delta Theta fraternity is considered an outbreak. At least 14 people associated with the fraternity have tested positive.

Multiple Riley County residents are also associated with an outbreak from a wedding in Shawnee County.

Additionally, 375 of those who previously tested positive are considered to be recovered. There are 153 active cases in the county. Riley County has documented five COVID-19-related deaths.

At this time, there have been 5,551 negative tests administered in the county and 125 tests are pending.

There are one current hospitalized person with a confirmed cases of COVID-19.
