Democrat Kathryn Focke took the lead for the Riley County Commission District 3 seat in updated unofficial results.
Republican John Matta led Focke by 10 votes Tuesday night, but according to the Wednesday afternoon update, Focke is now ahead by one vote.
Matta called the state of the race as of election night a “coin toss.” The updated unofficial results show the race is too close to call.
