Both Kansas State men’s and women’s basketball teams announced scheduling updates Thursday.
Men’s basketball announced the opponent for the 2020 Big 12/Big East Battle. The Wildcats will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, on Dec. 11 to take on Butler in the historic Hinkle Fieldhouse.
“Butler is a terrific addition to our 2020-21 schedule in the Big 12/Big East Battle,” head coach Bruce Weber said in a release from K-State Athletics. “They have a program with great history and tradition and return significant experience from a team that would’ve advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season. Obviously, it’s a very challenging first road game, but looking forward to our team experiencing such a historic venue like Hinkle Fieldhouse.”

This will be the second meeting all-time between the two schools.
The women’s team announced two scheduling changes for the 2020-21 season — one exhibition and one non-conference home game.
The NCAA granted K-State a waiver to play Fort Hays State for an exhibition game on Nov. 25 in Hays, Kansas. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
It will be the first time the team plays Fort Hays State since 1976.
The Wildcats’ originally scheduled game at Omaha moved to Bramlage Coliseum due to scheduling conflicts for the Mavericks. That game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tip-off on Dec. 12.
With the game against Omaha being moved to Manhattan, K-State will now start the season off on a 7-game homestand, the longest the team has had since the 1992-93 season.
