TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 by the numbers in Riley County on Dec. 9

The Riley County Health Department reported 153 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the local total to 4,176.

In all, 3,667 people who previously tested positive for COVID-19 in Riley County are recovered, leaving 493 active cases.

There are six positive patients currently hospitalized at Ascension Via Christi in Manhattan.

In all, 16 individuals have died from COVID-19 related complications in Riley County.

At this time, there are at least 13 active outbreaks in the county, but because of a change in policy, active outbreaks are not recorded by location in the county’s health reports, but by type of location. There are four outbreaks associated with long term care facilities, one outbreak with a school, three with health care facilities, two with athletic teams and three with group living.

Up-to-date information about pending tests is unavailable at this time. There have been at least 33,218 negative tests returned in Riley County.

In the community, the two-week positivity rate is above 20 percent. On campus at K-State, the positivity rate increased to about 8.3 percent.
