TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on Dec. 28

The Riley County Health Department reported 45 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Dec. 28, bringing the local total to 4,718. There are 241 active cases in the county.

In all, 4,457 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Riley County.

On Dec. 23, the health department reported the 20th death in Riley County. The patient was an 88-year-old man who passed away at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.

Ascension Via Christi has 13 COVID-19 positive patients in its care at this time.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment announced the Kansas Unified Testing Strategy will continue through Jan. 31. The plan allows all Kansans access to testing with no out-of-pocket fees.
