TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on Jan. 13

The Riley County Health Department reported 83 new cases of COVID-19 on Jan. 13, as well as 80 additional recoveries.

There are 480 active cases in Riley County. In total, there have been 5,467 cases of COVID-19 with 4,965 recoveries.

There are currently 23 positive patients hospitalized at Ascension Via Christi hospital in Manhattan. Five are in intensive care.

Last week, two COVID-19 related deaths were announced, bringing the local total to 22. A 79-year-old male and an 82-year-old male passed away last week at Ascension Via Christi Hospital.

The two-week positivity rate in Riley County is 11.32 percent.

On campus, there was a 10.25 percent positivity rate for the week of Jan. 4, an uptick from previous reports that had the campus positivity rate below five percent before the Christmas holiday.

The health department expects another shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine sometime this week.
