TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on Jan. 25

The Riley County Health Department announced two new COVID-19 related deaths on Jan. 25, bringing the local total to 30 deaths. A 90-year-old female and a 72-year-old male passed away last week at Ascension Living Via Christi Village and Ascension Via Christi Hospital respectively.

The 90-year-old woman tested positive on Jan. 9 and passed away on Jan. 22. The 72-year-old man tested positive on Jan. 9 and passed away on Jan. 23.

Additionally, there are 28 new positive cases and 174 recoveries since the last report on Jan. 22. There are 256 active cases in the county.

In total, there have been 5,827 people in Riley County who have tested positive for COVID-19, and 5,541 recoveries.

There are currently 10 positive patients hospitalized at Ascension Via Christi hospital in Manhattan. One is in intensive care.
