TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on Jan. 29

The Riley County Health Department reported 43 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the local total to 5,934 cases. Of those cases, 311 are active in the county.

The health department also announced 32 additional recoveries since Wednesday, bringing the total recoveries to 5,593.

At Ascension Via Christi hospital in Manhattan, seven individuals are hospitalized, two of whom are in intensive care.

On Monday, the health department announced two additional deaths related to COVID-19. A 90-year-old female and a 72-year-old male passed away last week at Ascension Living Via Christi Village and Ascension Via Christi Hospital respectively.
