TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on Feb. 19

On Friday, the Riley County Health Department announced a 76-year-old woman died from COVID-19 related illness. This is the 33rd death in Riley County.

She tested positive for COVID on Feb. 3 and died on Feb. 17 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital.

Additionally, the health department announced 10 new positive cases and four recoveries since Wednesday. There are 137 active cases in Riley County.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Riley County has had 6,158 positive cases and 5,988 recoveries.

There are currently two patients hospitalized at Ascension Via Christi hospital in Manhattan, both of whom are in intensive care.

Of the total positive cases in Riley County, 46 percent are individuals aged 18-24.
