TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on March 3

The Riley County Health Department reported 27 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 16 additional recoveries on Wednesday, bringing the number of active cases to 75 cases.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 6,216 total cases of COVID-19 and 6,108 recoveries.

For the week of Feb. 21, the health department reports a positivity rate of 2.2 percent. On campus for the week of Feb. 22, the university reports a positivity rate of 1.83 percent.

There are two positive patients hospitalized at Ascension Via Christi hospital in Manhattan. One is in intensive care.

The health department reports 3,627 people in Riley County are fully vaccinated and 5,999 people have received the first dose.
