TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on March 22

On Monday, the Riley County Health Department announced a 97-year-old woman died from COVID-19 related illness. This is the 36th death in Riley County.

She tested positive for COVID-19 on Jan. 4 and died on March 15.

Additionally, the health department announced 17 new positive cases and 15 recoveries since the last report on March 15. There are 57 active cases in the county.

In total, there have been 6,288 people in Riley County who have tested positive for COVID-19, and 6,195 recoveries.

There is currently one positive patient hospitalized at Ascension Via Christi hospital in Manhattan.

Of the total positive cases in Riley County, 46 percent are in individuals aged 18-24.

Additionally, 6,961 people are fully vaccinated — have received two doses — and 6,464 have received one dose of the vaccine.
