TAKE A LOOK: COVID-19 in Riley County by the numbers on March 29

The Riley County Health Department reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the local total to 6,309 positive cases. Of those cases, 27 are active.

The health department also announced 41 additional recoveries since Wednesday, bringing the total recoveries to 6,246.

Of the total positive cases in Riley County, 46 percent are in individuals aged 18-24.

On March 25, the Riley County commissioners voted to extend the mask mandate through Sunday, May 16, which requires face coverings in public spaces until at least the end of the academic year.

Additionally, 9,462 people are fully vaccinated — have received two doses — and 6,053 have received one dose of the vaccine.
