Thomas Helten, a 6 foot 3 inches, 210-pound junior walk-on from Bishop Carroll High School, has seen action in only two games in his Wildcat career as a reserve wide receiver.
Helten did not see any action in 2018 because he was on redshirt status that season.
Both of his recorded games were in 2019, against Nicholls and Bowling Green. In 2019, he was a First-Team Academic All-Big 12 member.

During his high school career, Helten had 1044 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior and was First-Team all-state from the Wichita Eagle. He was all-city as a junior and senior in high school. In his senior season, Bishop Carroll went 13-1 and won the state championship.
Majoring in construction science and management, Helten might have trouble seeing the field this upcoming season with younger players entering the wide receiver room.
