Shooting in Aggieville leaves two hospitalized

Two people have been transported to Ascension Via Christi after a shooting at Tate’s Bar in Aggieville around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

Kansas State released a statement on Twitter early Sunday morning addressing the shooting and encouraging counseling services for students affected by the shooting.

The Riley County Police Department stated there was no longer an active threat in Aggieville around 3 a.m. Sunday morning. The investigation is still underway.

RCPD is asking anyone with additional information — such as videos or photos from around the time of the incident — to contact RCPD at (785) 537-2112 or email Detective Compagnone at jcompagnone@rileycountypolice.org.
