Two people have been transported to Ascension Via Christi after a shooting at Tate’s Bar in Aggieville around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.
Kansas State released a statement on Twitter early Sunday morning addressing the shooting and encouraging counseling services for students affected by the shooting.
Students who are affected by the shooting in the Aggieville business district are encouraged to contact Counseling and Psychological Services at 785-532-6927 or the Office of Student Life at 785-532-6432 or via email at stulife@k-state.edu.

The Riley County Police Department stated there was no longer an active threat in Aggieville around 3 a.m. Sunday morning. The investigation is still underway.
Update 2:50 a.m.
There is no ongoing threat to the area. Please continue to stay clear of the immediate area of Aggieville. Those who are sheltered in place can now leave.
