Kansas State junior outfielder Dylan Phillips was named on Collegiate Baseball’s All-American Third Team.

Phillips led the Wildcats in home runs this past season with 16, tying the single-season school record and ranking second in the Big 12 — only six behind Texas Tech’s Jace Jung, according to Big 12 Sports.

Phillips is on pace to break K-State’s all-time home run record, needing seven to pass Scott Poepard (1994-97). Phillips also leads the Big 12 in active home runs with 31.

The six-foot, 220-pound OF/P hit for a .338 batting average, with 58 RBI and a .652 slugging percentage, good for fourth-best in the Big 12 this past season.

Among the success presented two streaks: a 10-game hitting streak and another where Phillips reached base in 21-straight games. Phillips also recorded 15 games with multiple RBI and 31 multi-hit performances.

K-State begins the 2022 season Feb. 18-20 at the State Farm College Baseball Showdown, a round-robin tournament at the Texas Ranger’s two-year-old baseball stadium in Arlington, Texas. Among the teams present is 2021 College World Series contender Arizona, alongside Auburn and Michigan.
