Kansas State defensive back Russ Yeast was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the 253rd overall pick in the NFL Draft.

The transfer from Louisville started 13 games for K-State in 2021 and recorded 48 tackles and four interceptions over the course of his lone season in Manhattan. He earned First Team All-Big 12 honors from the coaches.

Yeast joins quarterback Skylar Thompson as the two Wildcats drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. The last time K-State had multiple players chosen was 2019.
