Wildcats’ right guard Taylor Poitier suffered a torn ACL in the first half of the season-opener against South Dakota. The redshirt junior will miss the rest of the 2022 season, head coach Chris Kleiman said at a press conference Tuesday.

Poitier has played in four games in his career, starting in the final two games of the 2020 season. His 2021 season was lost because of a season-ending knee injury in fall camp.

Hadley Panzer is expected to replace Poitier at right guard with other guards, including Andrew Leingang possibly receiving playing time there as well, Kleiman said.

The Wildcats will face off against former Big 12 rival, the Missouri Tigers, on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m. in Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
