Update (Friday, Feb. 17, 5:28 p.m. CST): USD 383 released a full statement regarding the lockdown. Freshman and JV basketball games are canceled, but Varsity basketball games and homecoming activities will go on as planned.
Update (Friday, Feb. 17, 2:55 p.m. CST): According to USD 383, the Riley County Police Department determined there is not a substantiated threat at Manhattan High School. The school will be doing a controlled release of students at dismissal in partnership with RCPD.
Manhattan High School is in lockdown due to a social media threat. The community is advised to stay away until further notice.
