The Toronto Blue Jays drafted Kansas State shortstop Nick Goodwin with the 214th pick in the 7th round of the 2023 MLB Draft.


Goodwin played three years at K-State, hitting for a .273 batting average with 33 home runs and 138 RBI. In the 2022-23 season, Goodwin marked career highs in games played (59), hits (63), home runs (12), RBI (57) and fielding percentage (.968). 

Goodwin enters a Toronto farm system ranked 20th by MLB in the preseason. The team holds a 50-41 record and is slated as a wild card team in the American League.
