For the women’s team, senior Hannah Stewart placed first in the 5K run with a time of 18:00.22. On the men’s team, junior Matthew Hauser ran a noteworthy time of 19:02.9 in the 6K, an 18 second improvement on his previous personal record.

With the first meet of the season behind them, these runners have a lot of room to grow. The Wildcats will be back on the grass at its next meet on Sept. 16 at the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana.
