Welcome back, ladies! Before we get into the swing of things, here’s some food for thought: what are memories worth? Memories are worth a touch of embarrassment in the moment. I would much rather look back and remember tearing up the dance floor with my girls than being too worried about what others think. To be frank, I think you would, too.

Embrace and find comfort in embarrassment so you can live in the moment. Whenever I find myself getting embarrassed, I brush it off and make a joke. If you can’t laugh at yourself, you’ll never be able to overcome awkward situations. Seriously, nothing’s that major.

I get it, girl! Being yourself around new people can be scary. But if you can’t get over stepping outside your comfort zone every once in a while, you’re wasting your young and fun years pretending to be someone you aren’t — and there’s nobody like you.

In all honesty, nobody is paying as much attention to you as you might think. However, if someone isn’t fond of your idea of a good time or your silly behavior, then that friendship certainly isn’t meant to be. Self love is the key to thriving in all aspects of life; love yourself enough to disregard any awkward feelings.

Happiness truly comes from within. Sure, who you surround yourself with has an impact, too, but you will never find contentment unless you are satisfied with yourself. So be your own hype man, biggest cheerleader and everything in between — because honey, the need for external validation is outdated. Be proud of your accomplishments, no matter the size!

Here is a piece of advice on becoming the life of your own party: hold your head high and don’t fall victim to typical, mundane behavior. You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s fine. What matters is you find people who you can spill — and sip — the tea with! Prioritize your own happiness and everything else will fall into place.

Don’t play an extra in the movie you’re supposed to be starring in. Be the main character. Dance your heart out, set your ego aside and be sure of yourself.

Stay fierce and always fabulous!
